Most agents, if not all, will flounder without extensive training, not just on using technology, but attracting and retaining customers as well. Building long-term repeat and referral business is an art that requires not only dedication, but knowledge, and great problem-solving skills. 

It is highly unlikely that you will be able to gain these skills and information on your own.  Just look at the retention rate of licensees.  It’s abysmal.  That’s because they are oftentimes “hired” just to be ignored and to flounder.  Even having a good manager isn’t enough to ensure individual success.

On your own it takes years to learn enough about your job to become effective and valuable to enough to the public to gain their trust; and trust is where it all starts.  But, with a mentor guiding you through each interaction and transaction; telling you what to say, when to say it, what to do, how to do it, and so on…you will greatly increase the speed at which you can actually SEE your success and put money in your pocket, while building a sustainable business for yourself.
